LEADING THE WAY
Throughout the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming’s 50+ years of service, it has effectively served its mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
To ensure these necessary services for youth can continue today and into the future, the BGCCW Foundation supports the Club with 5% annual disbursements to the operating budget, plus raises and manages gifts of all types and sizes, with a focus on major gift endowments and planned gifts.
In building the Foundation to lead, our goal is to raise $15.7M in cash gifts and estate declarations over the next five years to create a resilient and stable future for Central Wyoming’s youth, Clubs, and the communities that we serve.
Financial partnerships will LEAD THE WAY in three priority funding areas:
• • • 1
EDUCATION: INVEST IN EDUCATION RESOURCES AND POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CLUBS’ YOUTH.
FUTURE WORKFORCE
Prepare kids for a future workforce based on acquiring leadership skills, building character, and discovering possibilities based on their talents and skills.
BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL
Provide resources to youth to create a plan beyond high school opening the doors to college or trade school through scholarship opportunities, career exploration through the military, and campus tours.
KEY PARTNERSHIPS
Identify and connect youth to effective resources that meet their needs and prepare them for their future through key partnerships and Youth of the Year opportunities.
“The Club has always helped me find what I want in life. I have been able to discuss my future with any of the staff. They have been able to help me with my plan and help me grow it into something possible.”
2 • • •
IMPACT: ENHANCE CLUB PROGRAMMING THROUGH DISBURSEMENTS TO THE CLUBS’ ANNUAL OPERATING FUND
INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS
Support innovative programs to keep children engaged in year-round programming centered around academic success, good character & citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
QUALITY STAFF
Ensure staff is adequately compensated, equipped, and properly and consistently trained to implement impactful programming through guidance and mentorship.
BASIC NEEDS
Ensure the basic needs of Club youth are met with nutritious snacks and meals, social-emotional support, mentorship with a trusted adult, a place to belong, and physical activity
“When I first came to the Club, I saw it as a place for kids with no place, somewhere I was sent because no one would take me; however, it became the place where I became me. The Club has always helped me, and now I aspire to help people through humanitarian means.”
• • • 3
